The SteakStones Sizzling Bowl offers a great way to add a little sizzle to all manner of meals. Based on the Korean dish of Bibimbap, the bowl is heated, some sesame oil added, cooked rice padded in and fresh ingredients layered on top, creating a crunchy, sizzling bowl of deliciousness. Add different flavours and you have a completely different dish; think Sweet and Sour for Chinese, Thai Green Sauce or Madras for an Indian twist. Alternatively, the bowl is great for serving noodle and soup dishes, or keeping Fajita ingredients piping hot or Fondue Cheese deliciously melted.
For a hot serve simply heat the bowl on a medium heat hob or stove for 5-10mins. You can either add ingredients during the heating or afterwards, depending on what you’re serving. Once heated, place the bowl in the Bamboo Board and serve. The Bowl can also be chilled in your fridge for serving a cool, crisp salad on a hot summer’s day and for this simply place the bowl in your fridge for 30mins or more before serving.
Your SteakStones Bowl should not be heated on more than a medium heat for longer than 10 mins. If you are cooking with a little oil in the bottom, you can drip a drop of water into the oil which will crackle once up to heat and ready for your other ingredients. Even without heating, if you place hot ingredients into the bowl they will heat the bowl, which in turn will keep every last mouthful deliciously hot.
